Growing Instructions:

Germination: Spicy Bush Basil seeds typically germinate within 7-10 days when planted in well-draining soil and kept consistently moist.

Planting: Sow seeds directly into the soil or start them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep and space them 6-8 inches apart.

Sunlight: Spicy Bush Basil thrives in full sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. Ensure plants receive at least 6 hours of sunlight per day for optimal growth and flavor development.

Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water plants at the base to avoid wetting the foliage, which can increase the risk of fungal diseases.

Maintenance: Pinch off the tops of the stems regularly to encourage bushier growth and prevent the plant from flowering too quickly. Harvest leaves as needed, starting from the top of the plant and working your way down.

Pests and Diseases: Monitor plants for common basil pests such as aphids, whiteflies, and spider mites. Treat infestations promptly with organic pest control methods, such as neem oil or insecticidal soap. Ensure good air circulation around plants to reduce the risk of fungal diseases.
