Making a Difference at Home and Abroad
As part of our mission to promote sustainable food systems, we're supporting the seed distribution program in Liberia organized by Seed Programs International (SPI). SPI strives to “provide quality seed to impoverished communities in developing countries.” They've had great success working through local, community organizations. seedprograms.org
Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? Plant a Row for the Hungry, a program of the Garden Writer's Association, helps gardeners to develop projects to help bring gardening skills and fresh produce to those in need in their local communities. We developed our own PAR program, in conjunction with the Louisa County Resource Council, two years ago. Read about our local Plant a Row program and how to develop your own>>
